I disagree with Daring Fireballabout the new I'm a PC ad from Microsoft. I think they are much better for Microsoft than any Microsoft ads I have seen in years. They directly counter the negative slant that Apple has successfully (and aptly) put on Windows, and give current PC users something to be proud of. Assuming that the purpose of these ads is to make people want to stay with Microsoft for one more round of OS versions instead of abandoning it for Apple, the ads will work. Apple got a lot of well-deserved milage out of their campaign, and one wonders why Microsoft didn't counter it a year or more ago.
