... is the title of a wonderful cookbook with a huge variety of wonderful recipes. I'm not big on the concepts behind "raw foods", but am certainly not against them, either.
I Am Grateful by Terces Engelhart and Orchid is one of the outgrowths of the lovely chain of restaurants in the Bay Area called "Café Gratitude". The restaurants serve only raw foods, and do so in a very open and inviting environment. We ate there a few months ago and were moved t buy the cookbook. Yesterday, we made "I Am Perfect", known to the rest of us as pecan pie. It was incredibly yummy and rich and sweet, even though it was unbaked and used no sugar.
As you can imagine, both the restaurant and cookbook push the gratitude theme. If you have a problem with that, you might not like either of them. On the other hand, the spirit feels genuine, and the food comes out quite refreshing.
