Got my copy of OS X 10.5 today. Unless I have a complete breakdown in patience and sanity, it will remain shrink-wrapped until a few days after Apple releases 10.5.1. By that point, no one will care what the unboxing looks like.
Hint to amazon.com: if software comes in a package about the same size as a 3-CD set, send it in the smaller packaging you use for music. The fact that it is software doesn't mean you have to send it in a big box.
Update: 10.5.1 came out too quickly, and doesn't address many of the corner-case complaints I have seen online. I'll wait for 10.5.2.
Update 2: OK, so I lied. Well, I got itchy. Upgraded anyway, before 10.5.2, because I was having a problem with my keychain that I figured the upgrade would either fix or make worse. It fixed it. Now I have to learn about all these other visual oddities Apple added in 10.5.
