Version 5 of the Unicode Standard has been out for a few months, and now the book is too. The pages are smaller than previous versions, but it is still a hardback monster. They got rid of the exhaustive and ever-growing list of every Han character, and added some of the important annexes that were only available online. At US$60, it is about the same price as some fat computer books, but if you are interested in the written languages of the world and how they are expressed on computers, it is a must-have item.
Update: The electronic edition is also available.
