On not ripping off

It's amazing what a few days of thought will do for you. John Gruber completely nails the "Dashboard ripped of Konfabulator" meme. As in, "nails the coffin shut". Dashboard grows on ideas from many people over the past 25 years, and Konfabulator isn't all that novel.

I'm even more glad that I am paying for that content.
