According to the New York state supreme court, you are not breaking a contract if you criticize Network Associates without their permission. According to the article at CNet: "The judge called the company's attempted ban 'deceptive' because it implied consumers who conducted the reviews would be violating the law, when they would not." The suit came after Network Associates accused Network World of violating its agreement by publishing an unauthorized review of a Network Associates product.
